Celebrate
Baptism
A public declaration and joyous celebration of personal faith in Jesus. It is not what saves you — it is your response to being saved.

A ceremony full of symbolism and significance.
“We believe the Bible. We love the Bible. We teach the Bible. We’re committed to sound Biblical theology.”
When we're lowered under the water, we identify with Jesus' death and burial. As we rise up out of the water, we align ourselves with His resurrection — signifying our own new life in Him. Joy Church baptizes by immersion following conversion, in keeping with the New Testament pattern. The mode matters — going fully under and coming fully up is part of the picture. The posture depicts what actually happened: the believer's real union to Christ in His death and resurrection.
"We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life."
Romans 6:4

For all who believe that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Baptism is for those who have personally trusted in Jesus. If you've trusted in Jesus and haven't been baptized, we invite you to this act of obedience. Baptism doesn't secure salvation — it's our response to it, a testament to God's grace. This is why we practice believer's baptism: baptism follows faith.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…"
Matthew 28:19
