Joyful Kids

Every Sunday, kids from toddlers through age 11 are loved and taught in a dedicated kids wing; nursery for the littlest ones, Sunday School for ages 5–11. We want your children to know Jesus, love His Word, and have so much fun they're the ones waking the house up on Sunday morning to come to church.

Four priorities for every Sunday

Learn

Big truths. Simple words.

Our goal is simple: help your child become a disciple of Jesus. We use the New City Catechism as our primary tool, teaching kids big truths through simple questions and answers they can actually remember. Each week we pair those truths with engaging Bible teaching, discussion, and activities so kids don't just hear about Jesus. They grow to know Him and treasure Him.

Safe

When it comes to child safety, we don't play games.

Background checked volunteers. A monitored hallway during service. Security cameras and internal viewing windows. A dedicated kids wing with a children only bathroom. Multiple layers of care and oversight, so you can worship fully and your kids can thrive.

Love It

Joy is experiential.

We create a warm environment where children are genuinely cared for, Jesus is made clear in ways they can understand, and kids are actually having fun. We take the gospel seriously. We also take fun seriously. Both belong here.

Partnership

You're still the primary disciple-maker.

We believe parents are a child's primary teacher and discipler. The best thing we can do is come alongside them: encouraging, training, and praying for your child as they grow in faith. Sunday morning is a partnership, not a handoff.

The New City Catechism

For centuries, the church has taught children through catechism — question and answer patterns that plant deep truths in young minds and hearts. We use the New City Catechism as our primary curriculum because we believe the goal isn't just behavior. It's a child who knows what they believe and why, who carries the gospel into every room of their life.

Each week, kids learn one question and its answer — Scripture-rooted, memory-ready, and theologically rich without being dry. The kind of thing a seven-year-old can say and an adult can stand on.

Question 1
"What is our only hope in life and death?"
Answer
"That we not our own but belong to God."

Multiple layers of care and oversight

So parents can worship fully, and kids can learn and thrive in a safe environment.

Background Checked Team

Every Joyful Kids volunteer completes a background check before serving. Our lanyard system makes clearance visible at a glance.

Check-In System

A formal check-in and check-out system is in development, including a matching security sticker so only the right people pick up your child. We'll have more to share soon.

Secure Kids Wing

A dedicated kids block with security cameras, internal viewing windows, a monitored hallway, and a children only bathroom. Designed so parents can see in and children stay safe.
